STONY POINT - Pallbears carried the casket of Rockland Corrections Officer Frank Farina to a waiting hearse on Tuesday, as the Rockland Police Emerald Society bagpipers and drummers played "Amazing Grace" under a bright blue sky outside Immaculate Conception Church.
More than 200 people followed the coffin from the church after a Mass that lasted close to 90 minutes in memory of Farina.
The Rev.
Herbert DeGaris led the Mass, as Farina's wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Matthew and Ava, sat in the front row with other family members. Tears were shed and one cry of anguish echoed inside as fellow officers and family accompanied the coffin into the church.
