Tom Selleck Biography

Tom Selleck is an American actor and film producer. He isknown for his role as Hawaii-based private investigator “Thomas Magnum” in the TV series of the 1980s, Magnum, P.I.

in the year 1980.

Selleck graduated from Grant High School in 1962 and enrolled in Los Angeles Valley Schools. However, he was moved to Southern California University.

He was involved in basketball and other sports at the university.

Selleck was a major in business management, but after a drama coach recommended that he pursue acting, he dropped out of college in his senior year. Tom studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse under Milton Katselas.

Selleck started his acting career making his first TV appearance as a senior college at The Dating Game in 1965.

He soon started getting offers to play small parts in TV dramas, mini-series, and TV movies. He also featured in the advertisements for Pepsi-Cola, Right Guard Deodorant, Marlboro Cigarette, Aperitif Dubo
